  Indian Institute Of Chemical Engineers(IIChE) is a confluence of streams of professionals from academia, research institute and industry. It provides appropriate forum for joint endeavors, hand-in-hand, to work for human being through application of chemical engineering and allied sciences. By realizing the necessity  of awareness about the technological advancements in the field of Chemical engineering among the undergraduates, former founding members brought this club to existence under the able guidance of   Prof.Biswajit Saha in the year of 2019. It is registered as a technical club under Student Activity Center(SAC). Thereafter we went forward towards a big mission of promoting and inspiring students to pursue qualitative knowledge on Chemical engineering studies to find sustainable and resilient ways for a  better world. Now we are among the top student chapters in our regional centre.

(C)ooling Tower

  COOLING TOWER: Cooling towers are a special kind of heat exchanger devices where air and hot water are brought into direct contact with each other in order for the evaporative cooling to take place and the temperature of the water to drop due to it. During evaporative cooling process the air has to be unsaturated so that it can store the evaporated water vapours and for the water to change its phase from liquid to gas, latent energy is required which the water absorbs from the surrounding. Common applications  include cooling the circulating water used in oil refineries, petrochemical  and other chemical plants, thermal power stations, nuclear power stations and HVAC systems for cooling buildings etc.       Working of a cooling tower: The working principle of a cooling tower is evaporative cooling.
